There is good and bad stress in our lives daily, we all need a certain level of stress to be proactive and focused in our roles. However, stress can slowly impact upon our health if not addressed and monitored.
Gardaí routinely face high levels of stress, from the challenges that come with being a Garda, shift work, family issues, financial issues, work related problems, external issues by way of social media etc. Each impact on your health and wellbeing. As such you must take responsibility for addressing and acknowledging these challenges and be proactive in addressing them in order to keep yourself healthy.
